Important Filing Information

In November 2001, the U.S. Postal Service began sending first class mail addressed to OHA to a facility in Lima, Ohio, for irradiation to kill anthrax spores. At this point we understand that the irradiation process can delay mail delivery by over 45 days.

This situation may continue for the forseeable future. We therefore encourage submitters of any time-sensitive material to telefax it to the Office of Hearings and Appeals at (202) 287-1415. As an alternative, we have established a special email address -- OHA.filings@hq.doe.gov -- at which we will accept time-sensitive filings. Please note (1) the period between OHA and filings in the email address, and (2) that because of signature issues, we may ask you to file a signed original of a document.

Official Filing Hours

Official Filing Hours are 1:30 - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday in Room 7117, 950 L'Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, D.C. All filings and pick ups of documents made with OHA by members of the public must be made during those hours.
