DOE Settlement with Occidental Petroleum Corporation

National Archives Sets Retention Rules for E-mail

The National Archives has issued final rules regarding the retention of e-mail under the Federal Records Act. See them as they appeared in the Federal Register on August 28, 1995.<\P>


Uniform Adjudicative Guidelines for Personnel Security Cases

The Department of Defense has issued an Interim Final Rule that promulgates uniform adjudicative guidelines for all Federal agencies. These guidelines are established for all Federal government civilian and military personnel, consultants, contractors, employees of contractors, and other individuals who require access to classified information. They apply to persons being considered for initial or continued eligibility for access to classified information, and are to be used by government departments and agencies in all final clearance determinations.
